DAILY WALK WITH THE LORD
Friday, October 19, 2018
Read 1 Peter 5:8
Memorize: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

The love of God for his children is not just love for a moment but everlasting one, He wouldn’t want his church to fall as prey into the hands of the enemy (devil) both day and night. Apostle Peter from his book is sensitizing us today stay at alert as children of God.

There are several ways which the devil would want to bring you down and tear us into pieces. A closer walk with God is a way of strengthening our life with God. Have you ever ask yourself why you are now stop being close to God or putting on carefree attitudes which you have not been doing in the past. It is simply because you are getting weak, your walk with the Lord is not smooth as it has been in the past, you are somehow far from your God.

What are you doing that is occupying you and doesn’t allow you to seek God as it used to be? Have you been reading your Bible lately? Have you been praying fervently and consistently these days or you are not praying? When last have you observed have your quiet time? Do you still attend church services or you have neglected the gathering of the saint? I heard people saying these days that it is not necessary or compulsory to attend churches, it is a devise of the devil, he wants to have you, do not stick to what he is saying to you to neglect other believers.

Have you been very busy with your job or profession to the extent that it is affecting your spiritual life? You need to watch it and change for better, make sure you balance everything that you are doing so as to stand him.

No matter how devil may try he will continue to fail over you in Jesus name. Shalom!

Prayer points:
1. Lord help me to stay awake at all times.
2. Father, strengthen me to read your word, pray your word and put your word into practice in Jesus name.
3. I receive the power to be too hot for devil to touch in Jesus name.
