How to get your new team member or business associate get started fast

My name is IK. I am a business opportunity broker – Part of what that means is that I help working professionals create a side income in a way that would not interfere with what they are currently doing!

I will like to share a message I have captioned, “How to get your new team member or business partner started very fast in this amazing industry called NETWORK MARKETING.”

When I first started out in the year 2011, I practically knew nothing that I will share with you. So, please take close attention!

Most times when you attend a business opportunity in the MLM space, most supposed sponsor do nothing in providing leadership and mentor-ship with respect to those they recruit. They abandon them like a new born child without the nurturing of a mother. So, when they sign up under you as a sponsor, take the time to school them as to what the journey will entail.

It is your duty irrespective of the training the company will provide them intermittently.
I recommend a 30 days period of hand holding and nurturing and coaching!

Step 1 – I highly suggest you visit the company’s website and spend 30 – 60 minutes reviewing the company, its products and services and their policies and compensation plan!

Step 2 – Write down WHY you joined the business. The next step is to take out a piece of paper and write down WHY you want to build a business. Write down how much money you want to make and how you would spend. Write down your hopes and dreams. Share these with your sponsor, so they know how to make your desires come true. At a minimum, write down your 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months goals. Just make sure that your goals match the time commitment you are willing to invest in the business. I will recommend the book by Dean Graziosi – The millionaire Success Habits!

In the Network Marketing space, you will hear people make this statement – Have a why that will make you cry! I never fully understood the statement until I read the above mentioned book. Get it!

Step 3 – Make a minimum of 2 years commitment with your company – This is not a lottery or some sort of get rich quick scheme. This is a REAL business. It is the only industry that has produced more millionaires than any other industry in the world according to America’s finest motivational speaker, Les Brown. I have seen the industry change the lives of people with no educational credentials, I mean those with no qualifications. Treat it like a REAL business and it will revolutionize your life.

Step 4 – Contact people in your upline, I mean those with experience and expertise to introduce yourself.

Step 5 – Schedule your initial training call with your sponsor or upline. With this call, you will be introduced to your goals, taught the basis about what you need to know to get started and answer some questions. Just remember, you don’t know what you don’t know! Do this within 48 – 72 hours after signing up(ideally).

Step 6 – Watch some of your companies training videos and webinars if they have. You can search Youtube also.

Step 7 – Create Your Name List – Estimated time: 2 -3 hours. You want a large name list of at least 50 – 100 people. These are people you will notify, telling them what you are doing. You are not trying to sell or recruit ANY of these people. Your job is just to contact them, tell them about the service, product or business, and if they express any interest, SET UP an appointment with them.

A name list is a list of names, preferably those in your warm market (Families, relatives, colleagues). Those you know and they know you!

The training videos there will educate and enlighten you of what is possible!

The bigger the name list, the more money you will make and the faster you will get started. There are audios and videos on how to approach people in a none threatening way on YouTube.

Suggested scripts to use to talk to people that you know are ALL available online. Make the necessary investment. An investment in knowledge pays the best interest – Benjamin Franklin!

My best advice is to always lead with the business benefits first – That’s if you are interested in recruiting people.

STEP 8 – Start to contact your warm market or the name list – Once you have your name list and scripts down on paper, it’s time to start contacting people om the list. You can do by phone (preferred), Facebook, in person or by email. I suggest contacting people by phone. It is the quickest, easiest and most effective way to contact people. The sooner you start contacting everyone the better. Make a point to at least 5 – 10 people a day until you work through your name list.

When contacting people, your goal is not explain everything on the phone, but to get their permission to send them a short video that explains what you do and then follow up with them within 24 – 48 hours. I personally do this with my business. I am only a messenger not the message!

Your goal is to say less to more people. Pique their interest their interest, get their permission to send them a video and get off the phone as quickly as possible. Spend not more than 2 – 5 minutes on the phone with each person.

Please, don’t try to convince anybody. Don’t talk about the money initially. Share the many benefits they will enjoy when you join the business. I mean, the opportunity to travel round the world and make money also….

Create a vision in their minds.
