NIGERIAN DEFENDER WINS HIS FIRST EUROPEAN TROPHY

Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi has won his first ever trophy in Europe, after Portuguese Primeira Liga Champions FC Porto defeated Benfica FC 2-0 in the Portuguese Super Cup on Wednesday night.
The Nigerian international who has established himself as the club’s number one left-back (since Brazilian star Alex Telles joined Manchester United) has been enjoying himself with the club, and he has played almost all the club’s matches in all competitions this season.

Zaidu Sanusi also tasted UEFA Champions League for the very first time in September, and he went on to play all the group stage matches for FC Porto, where he later scored his first goal for the Club in their 2-0 away victory over French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille, and he has gone on to score two goals and provided three assists in all competitions this season.

Sanusi was also in action for 90 minutes on Wednesday night, as FC Porto defeated Benfica FC 2-0 in Super Cup final to win the 2020 edition.
Reacting after winning his first ever trophy in Europe with FC Porto in their victory over Benfica on Wednesday night, Zaidu Sanusi posted on his verified Instagram handle that;

“Alhmllh for the first trophy more to come Insha Allah 🔵💙🙏.”

Reacting to this on Instagram Nigerians were happy to see that one of their own is making waves and prayed for exploit for the young defender.
