Another Building Collapse Recorded In Lagos

LAGOS – Barely 24 hours after the collapse of the 21-storey building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos another two-storey building collapsed in Lekki area of the state.

The recent collapse occurred at Osapa London area of Lekki.

The building which was also under construction partially caved in after Mon­day’s heavy downpour.

The picture of the col­lapsed building was dis­played on the twitter handle of @SkyGospelNewsT1.

Several attempts to reach the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Manage­ment Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, and Nosa Okunbor LASEMA PRO through their phones proved abortive as their numbers were not connect­ing.

Recall that, a 21-storey building under construction collapsed on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi on Monday with death toll hitting 14 so far and more people still trapped under the rubbles.
